Hal Filiar-Aguilera was heavily involved in a Christian church while secretly struggling with homosexual feelings. After years of an unsuccessful quest to become straight, he finally came out. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Hal now loves living in Portland, Oregon with his husband Don and their canine Tucker, and has been working as a technical designer for a local commercial AV integrator for the last 10 years.
He is an ordained minister and musician. Hal’s previous career iterations include courier, server, bartender, house cleaner, sound engineer, designer/draftsman, worship leader, music pastor, and professional guitarist and singer/songwriter.
